72nd Annual Kooskia Days: Full Event Schedule
Celebrate community tradition at the 72nd Annual Kooskia Days! From family movie nights and lawn mower races to the classic parade and street dance, there is something for everyone. Mark your calendars for July 23rd – July 25th, 2026.

Thursday, July 23rd
Farmer's Market: Time: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM, Location: Kooskia City Park
Family Movie Night: Time: 9:00 PM, Location: Kooskia City Park (Showing: GOAT)
Note: Drinks and popcorn available to buy. Bring your own chairs and blankets!
Friday, July 24th
Volleyball Tournament: Time: 8:30 AM, Details: $60/team, Co-ed 4-person teams (must have at least 1 female team member). Benefits CVHS Volleyball. Contact sheenaullard@gmail.com or 208-407-1056.
Lawn Mower Races: Time: Sign-ups: 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM | Qualifiers: 5:00 PM | Race: 6:00 PM, Details: Prizes for winners in their class. Contact Gary Payton (208-311-0261) or William Zarnik (208-935-8672).
Beer Garden: Open Friday & Saturday!
Saturday, July 25th
Fun Run (5K): Time: Registration at 7:30 AM | Race starts at 8:00 AM, Details: $20 Entry Fee.
Ping-Pong Ball Drop: Time: 8:30 AM, Location: Kooskia Airport, Sponsors: Kooskia Chamber, Dale's Sporting Goods, St. Mary's Hospital, and Clearwater Valley Aero Club.
Free Ice Cream: Available at the Library until it's gone!
The Kooskia Days Parade: Time: Sign-ups at CVE: 8:30 AM – 9:30 AM | Judging: 9:45 AM | Parade Start: 10:00 AM
Grand Marshals: S&S Welding (Dave Sheets & Brenda Ross), MC: Vincent Martinez
Lawn & Garden Tractor Pull: Time: 12:00 PM (Noon), Location: North end of the airport. Details: Contact info same as Lawn Mower Races.
Corn-Hole Tournament: Time: 11:00 AM, Details: Cash prizes! Fundraiser for High School Wrestling.
Live Auction: Time: 3:00 PM, Location: Kooskia City Park, Details: All proceeds go towards funding future Kooskia Days and community events.
Old Fashioned Logging Competition: Time: Sign-ups at 3:00 PM | Competition begins at 5:00 PM, Details: $10 entry fee per event. Contact 208-935-5837. Events include: Power Saw Open Class, Axe Throw, Sharp Chain Saw, Choker Set, Jr. Choker Set, Jack & Jill Cross-cut, Head-to-Head Power Saw, Wrapper Throw, and 3-Man Relay. Prizes and awards for all events!
Street Dance featuring a Live Band: Time: 9:00 PM – 1:00 AM

Syringa Kooskia Clinic Free Sports Physicals
Syringa Hospital and Clinics is offering free sports physicals to local students. There's one in Grangeville this afternoon at their clinic. You don't need to make an appointment, you can just show up. The next opportunity is on August 5, 2026, 1-4 p.m. at the Syringa Kooskia Clinic.
